Welcome!

About Me:
I have taught for over thirty years in New York as a reading specialist, special educator, and most recently as a sixth grade ELA classroom teacher.  I love reading, hiking with my two dogs, skiing, biking, and yoga.  I grew up in Yonkers, NY and have lived the past twenty-three years in Ridgefield, CT.    My husband Gene and I have two adult daughters, Marianne and Rosie.  One of my favorite projects is working with a school in the village of Santa Maria de Jesus, Guatemala. I love visiting them and bringing books, Chromebooks and training during the summer.

Why New Beginnings Family Academy?
I love the mission of NBFA and how devoted the leaders and teachers are to accomplishing it.  I strongly believe in purpose and equity in education, and this community values the development of the whole child through emotionally responsive practice and social emotional learning.  I am so excited to begin the next chapter of my career working with such inspiring educators at NBFA!
