Dear NBFA Parents and Guardians:
I hope this note finds you in the best of health and spirits. I am writing today to share an important update on NBFA’s reopening plans for fall 2020.
Following a mandate from the state Department of Education, New Beginnings Family Academy is planning for a full reopening for all students in September. While we are excited about the prospect of having all students back in the building, we understand that we are still experiencing a global pandemic and certain precautions have to be taken to minimize everyone’s risk.
Your leaders are working hard this summer to address the many health considerations so that every child can learn. Please help us by filling out the NBFA 2020 Reopening Survey for Parents and Guardians available here. In the coming weeks, we will be in touch to share key elements of NBFA’s reopening plan.
Finally, just yesterday the state department of education waived the 180-day school year, giving districts three extra days for planning and preparation. That means NBFA students will start school on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. Please mark your calendars.
These are trying times for us all. Please know that your leaders at NBFA are here for you. Espero que esta nota se encuentre en la mejor salud y espíritu. Escribo hoy para compartir una importante actualización de los planes de abrir de la NBFA para el otoño de 2020.
Siguiendo un mandato del Departamento de Educación del estado, New Beginnings Family Academy está planeando abrir completa para todos los estudiantes en septiembre. Si bien estamos entusiasmados con la perspectiva de tener a todos los estudiantes de vuelta en el edificio, entendemos que todavía estamos experimentando una pandemia global y se deben tomar ciertas precauciones para minimizar el riesgo de todos.
Sus líderes están trabajando duro este verano para abordar las muchas consideraciones de salud para que todos los niños puedan aprender.
