Come Partner With Us!

Our Mission: New Beginnings Family Academy provides students a meaningful, high-quality education through experience-based learning that helps develop essential social, emotional and critical-thinking skills. This gives all children a foundation to achieve their full potential at every stage of life.

Our Students: NBFA students come from families of varied ethnic and cultural backgrounds who value education. They are curious, eager to learn and willing to work hard. NBFA seeks students who are highly motivated to learn inside and outside of the classroom.

Our Curriculum: NBFA’s research-based and culturally responsive curricular programs and instructional practices ensure a solid grasp of essential literacy and math foundational skills, critical thinking and problem-solving, and rigorous preparation for challenging secondary education.

Our Purpose and Values: NBFA is a community of empathic learners; one that educates the whole-child, ensuring each student is equipped with the social-emotional and academic skills needed to be a lifelong learner.

Our Partnerships: Relationships with Fairfield University, Horizons at Sacred Heart, Quinnipiac University, Maritime Aquarium, Bridgeport Sailing School and Bank Street College of Education offer NBFA students exposure to a wide variety of subject matter, enrichment courses and extracurricular activities.

Our Future: Opening This Fall
With a strong focus on the formative years, NBFA will open a brand-new, state-of-the-art Early Learning Center on its urban campus, serving three-, four-, and five-year-old children. NBFA 's Early Learning Center will serve as a feeder to NBFA’s elementary school, which implements an emotionally responsive practice model designed to meet the needs of urban learners from early childhood through Grade 6.
