Summary:
This grant-funded consultant role will support the successful launch of the Early Learning Center. The Grant-Funded Launch Consultant will support leadership withing coordinating start-up activities required to open and operationalize New Beginnings Family Academy Early Learning Center on time and in alignment with state requirements. This role is project-based and outcomes-driven, combining strong project management with cross-functional coordination across facilities, licensing/compliance, staffing supports, curriculum vetting and selection, enrollment supports, procurement, and family-facing launch communications. The consultant will support NBFA leadership in creating and managing a launch plan, tracking milestones, and ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule.
Reports to: NBFA’s Interim Director
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Launch Planning & Project Management
Support NBFA leadership in developing, maintaining, and executing a comprehensive launch plan with timelines, milestones, owners, and dependencies.
Facilitate launch meetings with internal stakeholders; document decisions, action items, and follow-up tasks.
Identify risks and barriers early and recommend solutions to keep the launch on track
2. Operational Readiness & Systems Set-Up
Support the development and/or refinement of core operating systems and workflows (e.g., daily operations, arrival/dismissal, family communication, incident reporting, supply management).
Support implementation of tools for tracking tasks, compliance documentation, and launch deliverables (e.g., checklists, trackers, shared drives).
3. Launch Communications & Stakeholder Coordination
Support creation of a launch communications plan for families, staff, partners, and the community.
Support coordination of logistics for launch events (e.g., open house, family orientations, partner walkthroughs, ribbon cutting).
Create clear, family-friendly materials in collaboration with leadership (e.g., orientation agendas, “what to expect” guides, FAQs, checklists).

Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders and deadlines
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; ability to track multiple work-streams
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to facilitate meetings and drive follow-through
Proficiency with Google Workplace or Microsoft Office (Docs/Sheets/Slides) and project trackers
Preferred Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
Experience supporting program launches (school, early childhood center, nonprofit program, community initiative)
Familiarity with early childhood program operations, compliance, or licensing processes
Experience working with grant-funded initiatives and reporting requirements
Knowledge of the local community and partner landscape in Bridgeport and surrounding areas
Bilingual or multilingual skills (e.g., Spanish, Haitian Creole) preferred
