About Me

Resource Teacher, PK-3

NBFA Board Member

M.Ed., M.Ed.Adm.

Boston College, Boston University

My students’ learning experiences – what they learn, and how, when, and where they learn it – are tailored to their individual needs, skills, and interests, and enable them to take ownership of their learning. Although where, when, and how they learn might vary according to their individual needs, students also develop deep connections to each other, their teachers and other adults.

About Me: I have Masters Degrees as a Reading Specialist, Resource Teacher, and as an Educational Administrator.  I have worked as a Reading and Educational Resource Specialist and as the Chair of Special Services for over twenty years. I currently work at New Beginnings Family Academy, as the Resource Teacher for PK through grade 3.  My teaching incorporates hands-on instruction ensuring the success of all students in developing their skills in reading, writing, and mathematics.  I continue to work with teachers, administrators, and parents to provide a loving nurturing environment of learning.

Why New Beginnings Family Academy: Working at NBFA has been a wonderful experience for me as I work alongside such dedicated teachers, administrators, and families.  The feeling of closeness with my students is truly immeasurable.  The small student-teacher ratio allows both students and teachers to pursue and reach their goals. NBFA builds on a foundation of respect, cooperation, and creativity.  The environment is one of warmth and kinship between students, families, and faculty.
