Teacher Bio

About Me:

I began teaching at NBFA in the fall of 2015. I hold a Master of Science Degree in Education from the University of Bridgeport. I am a certified teacher in the state of Connecticut. I have been a Preschool teacher for 15 years, 13 of which have been in the Bridgeport community. I currently teach kindergarten. I am very passionate about teaching young children. I take pride in contributing to the development of the whole child, by offering a holistic student centered approach. Children have always been a part of my world. I believe that all children, regardless of ethnicity, race, socioeconomic status, or religious background deserve a quality early education.

Why New Beginnings Family Academy?

        I believe in a progressive approach to education where children learn primarily through play. I believe in hands on experiences, exploration, and observation. As an educator I provide an atmosphere where learning is interactive, inventive and experiential. My goal is for all children to acquire knowledge, learn values, and have a better understanding of themselves and the physical and social worlds in which they live.
